Truth lies and song
The New York Times have published a report about how the IDF train dogs to rape prisoners. They have published it in the same week that an NGO has published a horrific report into the sexual violence on October 7. Systematic and planned sexual violence, that turns your stomach. I won’t go into details but anything that made a girl a girl or a boy a boy was destroyed. Not just genitals and breasts but faces that had youthful beauty. Defaced so badly that you could not tell if bodies were male or female. It talks about how this was a plan, with phrases in Hebrew taught to aid them.
The report is independent and fully substantiated. Did the New York Times or any large media group report on it?
Cognitive dissonance goes on a pace, where you only hear and believe what suits your narrative. Because how can it be any other way when world media falls over themselves to believe and report the worst lies but ignores the truths.
It seems that the biggest win of Oct 7 is that those that attacked, invaded, murdered, raped, kidnapped and did so in the most horrific and barbaric manner are now seen as heroes. They are celebrated by people with absolutely no understanding of how evil this cult is. And any attempt to get the truth out there is totally dismissed .
Israel is not perfect, it’s army is not perfect, it’s prisons are not perfect. No one’s are. But do you believe the military men across the world who see how hard the IDF strive to keep civilian out of harms way, or the Hamas health ministry!
The BBC still quotes the Gaza health ministry on every report on this conflict. It ignores the truth.
As Eurovision rolls around again, this year’s entry seems to me to show Israel and its thought process and resilience. Since Oct 7, we have seen 2 amazing women bring the pain and trauma to the stage, one a survivor of a massacre at a music festival. Instead of being treated with compassion and respect, they were bullied and harassed. They stood with pride and the world voted for them even as the establishment behaved disgracefully. This year, Noam Bettam brings his anthem, Michelle , to the stage. Catchy and on several languages, he talks of his love as pop songs always have. No more relying on sympathy or telling the world of our pain, as music always has done. Just join in and show them how it has done, pure merriment and entertainment. Eurovision has been, despite their best efforts, a world standing with Israel as those that seek to hate do their best to defame it. A microcosm of the world today.
So report false narratives, ignore real evil, boycott a song contest in a fit of antisemitism, Israel will carry on and Noam will be amazing. Last year, Graham Norton expressed how relief will be felt by the organisers that Israel did not quite tip the post. Hopefully this year, Noam might go that one step further and those organisers will have to suck it up. We will be cheering him on .

The truth is too awful to stomach.
To publish the dog rape allegations this week has to at least be deflection from the truth.
